Online Poker Tournament - Multi-Table
A multi-table online poker tournament can accept more than 10 players and split them up over multiple tables, and to access the online poker tournament, you have to click on the appropriate tab in the room’s lobby. Similar to the Single Table Tournaments, a player is shown a list of the tournaments that are available or upcoming within a specific period of time, and there the tournament name, game type, number of players and status of the online poker tournament are displayed too. The screen also displayes additional details regarding the tournament including - the start time and the current server time, the number of entrants, the buy-in and fee details, the prize structure, the Register/Unregister button table information, as well as information about each player seated each table. Once the online poker tournament begins each player is invited to take their seats, which are assigned to each player randomly, and then cards are dealt out to each player at the table to determine who is on the dealer button.
Online Poker Tournament - Single-Table
The online poker tournament lobby will display the full range of single-table tournaments that are offered to all players, and all features of the tournament including game type, buy-in, fee and the tournament name are displayed there. In a single-table online poker tournament 100% of the buy-in fee is allocated to the prize pool, which is the amount deducted from a player’s account when that player registers for a tournament. The prize pool is the total amount of money collected in the prize fund, and the prizes awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place players is displayed, usually in the following order - 50% for 1st place, 30% for 2nd place, and 20% for 3rd place. All Players are given a random seat at the online poker tournament table, and then cards are dealt to each player in order to decide which layer will be on the button. The play continues until only one player is left who at that point is declared the winner of the tournament, and if a player sits out during the tournament, their cards will be folded on every hand, although their blinds and antes will continue to be placed into each pot until that player returns to the table.
Online Poker Tournament - Sit & Go
A Sit & Go online poker tournament begin once enough players have enrolled to fill the number of seats offered in the tournament, and usually they are available both - single table and multi table Sit & Go tournaments. Usually, Holdem, and Omaha tournaments have either 10, 18, 27 or 45 entrants, while a Seven Card Stud online poker tournament has either 7 entrants. The number of entrants for each Sit & Go tournament can be viewed by looking at the “enrolled” column, so “7/10″ would mean that there are 10 players allowed in the tournament and 7 are currently registred. Players in every Sit & Go online poker tournament play against each other until one player wins all the chips from his or her opponents, and the cash prizes are awarded to top finishers based on the number of registered tournament entries. When yuo play multi table Sit & Go online poker tournament, as players are eliminated the tables are “broken”, meaning players are re-assigned to other tables, in order to keep the tables full.
